Entering the Classroom: Quietly walk into the classroom, take out your sketchbook and begin working on the bellringer.
Leaving During Class: If you have to use the bathroom or drink water, do it BEFORE class. Only one person will be allowed out at a time, and not while I am explaining something.
End of Class: Do not stop working until I say it is time to clean up! Once I say so, put away all materials and projects, clean your work area, sit in your seat until bell rings, and push in your chairs when dismissed.
BE RESPONSIBLE!
Bring your sketchbook, pencils, and other necessary materials to class every day.
Be on time and ready to learn.
Be honest and accountable for your actions.
BE RESPECTFUL!
Work quietly and stay in your assigned seats.
Use appropriate language.
Share classroom resources.
Never touch, draw, paint, etc. on any work but your own.
BE PRODUCTIVE!
Stay on task.
Have a positive attitude.
Give everything your best effort!
BE SAFE!
Use all tools safely and properly.
Walk in the classroom- don't run.
Sit in your seat appropriately.
Attention: When the teacher says "Mona", the students say "Lisa" and must have
Eyes on teacher
Mouths closed and silent
Hands still
The letters A.R.T. will be written on the board at the beginning of every class. If the "A" is taken down, the class gets a warning to use quiet voices. If the "R" is taken down, the class loses talking privileges until the "R" is put back up. If the "T" is taken down, the class works silently until the end of class.
Finished Early?
Make sure your name and class period is written clearly on your project.
Show it to the teacher to ask for suggestions/improvements.
Write an artist statement.
Work on homework assignments.
Cleaning Up: Art is messy! We all must work together to keep the classroom a workable space.
Put supplies away in appropriate places.
Wipe off and close glue bottles, recap markers, etc.
Store projects in designated locations.
Wipe down tables.
Pick up trash on the floor.
Storage Closet: Off limits, NO exceptions! Art Cart: Students must ask the teacher before grabbing any materials off of the art cart!
NOT ALLOWED IN ART!
Cell phones and headphones!
Food or drink other than water.
Inappropriate images or words in artwork.
iPads (unless explicitly stated by teacher that they can be used for the lesson).
Consequences: If you make a bad decision and do something you are not supposed to do, there will be consequences! You will have to fill out a "Behavior Reflection Form" that will go in your folder. I will also write up a "Teacher Reflection Form" stating what the consequences will be. Consequences include:
Parent contact by email or phone
Loss of classroom privileges (talking, bathroom use, background music, etc.)
