What to do when you finish the artist statement:
What NOT to do:
If I pass by and you are not doing anything, I will call your parents after class and give you a detention. There is no excuse!

- Draw in your sketchbook/on your iPad
- Read a book from the class library
- Do homework for any class

What NOT to do:
- Watch YouTube videos
- Play video games
- Sit there, doing nothing.

Drawing Prompts:
- Draw someone you sit by.
- Draw family members with things that are important to them.
- Make a portrait of yourself in twenty years. Or in fifty years. Or both.
- Draw a masked person that is not a superhero.
- Draw the ugliest baby you can imagine.
- Draw something or someone you love.
- Draw an animal eating another animal.
- Draw your teacher in a fight with an animal.
- Draw an animal playing a musical instrument.
- Draw an animal taking a bath.
- Combine 3 existing animals to create a completely new creature.
- One day you discover that you can talk with animals. Create a comic showing the first conversation you have with another species.
- Draw a portrait of your family. Plot twist: It is a family of insects or animals.
- Draw a slice of the best pizza you have ever seen.
- Draw your favorite food.
- Draw the ingredients or process of your favorite recipe.
- Draw your family at breakfast.
- Draw someone reading a book or watching TV.
- Make a drawing of all of your drawing materials.
- Do several studies of eyes, noses, and mouths in a variety of poses.
- Draw a bridge and all of its details.
- Draw yourself as an original superhero.

- Draw an object melting.
- Draw an imaginary place, adding all kinds of details.
- Draw what's under your bed (real or imagined).
- Draw an inventory of things in your purse or bag.
- Draw something from the point of view of an ant.
- Draw an abstract self-portrait.
- Design a new form of transportation that could be used in the future.
- Create a new object by combining 2 unrelated objects.
- Trace your hand on your page. Use your imagination to turn it into something completely different!
- Choose 2 objects (one animal & one man-made) to slowly morph into each other.
